RACE INFO

The premier mountain bike race of the season.
Looking for a challenging MN mountain bike race to test your endurance on some of the most picturesque trails in the Midwest? You’ve come to the right place. The Salsa Oremageddon is set for Oct. 08, 2016.

With 3 levels of difficulty, the Salsa Oremageddon mountain bike race is 50 miles, the Oremageddon 25 is 25 miles and the Oremageddon 12 is, you guessed it, 12 miles. Each race has varying levels of difficulty with intense twists, turns and vertical climbs on trail surfaces including the famous Cuyuna red dirt singletrack, as well as gravel mining haul roads, grass snowmobile trails, and the paved Cuyuna Lakes State Trail. Learn more about the race courses on the About page, or click here.

World-class trails.
The Cuyuna Lakes Mountain Bike Trails, located in the Cuyuna Country State Recreation Area near Crosby, MN, feature 30 miles of renowned singletrack red dirt mountain bike trails, ranging from easy to expert-level courses. Considered among the best trail systems in the world, the International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA), has named the Cuyuna Lakes Mountain Bike Trails a Ride Center, an elite status shared by only 26 other trail systems in the world.

The trails are open year round, and are home to some of the finest Minnesota mountain bike racing events, including the Cuyuna Klunker Ride and Festival of Trails and the Cuyuna Lakes Whiteout. If you’ve enjoyed any of these events in the past, you’ll love what we have in store for the 2016 Salsa Oremageddon.

All for a good cause.
All proceeds from the Salsa Oremageddon mountain bike race will benefit the expansion and maintenance efforts of the Cuyuna Lakes Mountain Bike Trails. It’s the mission of the Cuyuna Lakes Mountain Bike Crew, the volunteer organization hosting the Salsa Oremageddon, to strengthen the surrounding communities by expanding the trails and promoting active living and cycling.

Don’t miss your chance to experience Minnesota mountain bike racing at its best! Food, vendors and swag will all be available on site. Learn more about registering for the MN mountain bike race of the season!
